Progress Country Bases on Generation's Quality

People come in this world. They do what they do. And there are families. What are families say? Do this, do this and they are successful. You must recognize that being successful is defined not only by a country, not only by a city because every country and every city have different cleaver hood. May be you are success in one country, so you move to another country and in the new country you do not get success as good as in the first country.

Today we are not talking about, what is success in one state but we are talking about, how success becomes true in one nation. We are not talking about, what is yours, but we are talking about, how you become success for your life. For your family, your country and at least for your self.

May be you saw Japan, China, India and also America. How successes are they in this millennium? But once more time I declare that we don't to talk about their success for them but how do they get success it self. The question today, how is success to be real for us? Anybody knows how to get and become success in this life especially for our country? No body knows? Ok, I will answer it. To become success in this life especially for our country is by knowledge.

As a Moslem we knew that Allah almighty said in his holy book al-Qur'an :
"يرفع الله الذين امنوا منكم والذين او توا العلم درجا ت" (الأية)

In this verse there are two worlds must be analyzed from their stylistic, syntaxes and their pragmatic. According to Ibnu Jarir al-Thabari in his canonical book jami al bayan fi ta'wili al qur'an that Allah almighty will glorify the person who believes to him and the person who have capability, quantity, and quality of knowledge. The word يرفع here is present tense and it has function continuously or we can say it as almuwadzabah and almudawamah. The subject in this verse is Allah almighty his self. So it verse indicates that Allah will glorify whoever, give a big underline for the world whoever, whoever have capability, capacity and quantity of knowledge. And all of you knew that Allah never deny his promise. As his saying ان الله لا يخلف الميعاد .

May be all of you ask, why knowledge? Is not there another factor to get success except knowledge? Nothing, there is no factor but knowledge could drive us to get success, do you think there is another way to success without knowledge? do you know that good country is built by knowledge. America, China, India, Japan and another progress country are concrete evidences that knowledge drives them to be progress and success. So I convince you all that permanent aspect of progress is knowledge, the only knowledge makes us success, the only knowledge drives us to be happy, the only knowledge brings us to be wealth, the only knowledge drives us to be prosperous, and the only knowledge makes us falling to ruination, it is true that our prophet order us to look for knowledge until China, there are many prophetic saying remind to seek of knowledge, likeاطلب العلم ولو بالصين ……in another side shown اطلب العلم من المهد الى الحد…………………………………………………………….

That prophetic saying shows us how important is knowledge in this world, it is not gossip if Allah said in its verse "ومن يؤتى الحكمة فقد اوتى خيرا كثيرا" . This verse according to what imam Zakiyudin said in his greatest book, he explains to us that knowledge is symbol of glory, knowledge is symbol of goodness, glorious, truth, and the only medium can drive us to win.
So, the verse and prophetic saying indicate that there is no progress without knowledge. Which mean seeking knowledge is obligated to all of us. As a moeslim we have same obligation to progress our country by study hard, hard and hard. No more than that.

The next question must be answered is, what knowledge can drive us to be progress? Imam al-Asfahani in his great book Mufradatu Alfadzi al Qur'an said, the knowledge we mean here is many kind of knowledge. Not one knowledge or certain knowledge. Imam al-Asfahani declared to be progress, to be success and to be happy not only by one or certain knowledge. Of course that is a apologize speech if there are someone say we can success in building our country with certain knowledge. Do you believe you can build your county only with particular science? Will you build your house only using part of element? Is it possible? Will you build your house using roof only? Will you build it by wood only? No, that is impossible, that is not building because if we want to make house we must build it completely. And the complete building is by using whole element not certain element. This building house is same with building and developing country, it is nonsense build country with certain science or certain knowledge only.

The last question is how about us as trustee and delegacy here? Did we do something positive for our country? Or we are so busy with friendster, did we stir with game playing, are we so busy with any activities which have not correlation with our study and support it? Did you always forget to study as high level in our priority? Did you always fulfill your whole day by seeking science or you looked down it and in the end of your exam, when the grade of value patched on information board you got your self didn't success.

We must aware that we are delegacy of our country, we must conscious that we are trustee of family. So, that is not good attitude if we spend our time as foreign. We must aware that we are here as student. And the obligation of student is looking for science and seeking knowledge and not sleeping. Only knowledge drives us to be happy, only science makes us success. There is no dignity as good as dignity of knowledge.

Don't waste your time, study hard, study hard, hard and hard. And remind it carefully, progress country is based on quality of generation. Be good generation by study hard. Thank you.
